Innovation Fund Foundation

The Innovation Fund Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation authorized pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 20-14-26.1. The Foundation supports the work of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement in supporting eligible organizations as they develop, pilot, implement, and scale innovative education programs. The Foundation is also authorized to receive donations from taxpayers pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 48-7-29.21.

The Innovation Fund Foundation exists to improve student achievement in Georgia by funding innovative partnerships to redesign public education.

Georgia will be known as the state where innovators partner and invest to transform the educational experience so that all students have the opportunity to thrive as engaged citizens.


why we exist

The Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc. supports the work of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement in planning, implementing or scaling innovative education programs. The Governor's Office of Student Achievement oversees and administers the Innovation Fund, which invests in innovative programs focused on specific priority areas:

The Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc. will also support the Governor’s Honors Program (GHP), a statewide residential summer program for gifted and talented high school students.


WHAT WE FUND

Since 2018, the Innovation Fund Foundation has invested over $1.6 million in grants awarded to traditional and charter schools, school districts, nonprofit organizations, post-secondary institutions across Georgia. To date, the IFF has launched three programs, including the Community Partnership Grant Program, the Innovation Summit Pilot Grant, and the GHP Educator Fellowship.
